Job description

OGC is a boutique research and consulting agency specializing in data-driven strategy, quantitative analytics, and Customer Experience (CX) program design and optimization. We work with some of the world’s largest organizations across various industries, including Financial Services, Specialty Retail, Telecommunications, Hospitality, and Software, helping them gain deep customer insights, develop actionable strategies, and enhance business processes.

We are seeking a full-time Data Scientist to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to become part of a high-performing team, applying hands-on research and consulting skills to assist clients in gaining insights, uncovering growth opportunities, and improving customer satisfaction.

This is a remote, full-time position requiring working East Coast Hours.

About the role

The ideal candidate is a bright, independent, detail-oriented professional with a strong analytical and technical background, passionate about leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and business improvements.

You will work directly with clients and deliver consulting projects to senior stakeholders, applying your analytical expertise in Market Research and Customer Experience, while collaborating with global Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of quantitative research and consulting projects from start to finish, including project design, financial modeling, data analysis, and creating insights-based reports.
  • Communicate with clients, build relationships, and deliver insights-based reports.
  • Develop data science solutions for clients and internal teams, including building, deploying, and automating models (classification, regression, forecasting), transforming large data volumes, researching new data sources and analytical tools, and providing expert guidance on analytical techniques.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects using mathematics, statistics, and machine learning to derive insights from raw data across various sectors and solve real-world problems.
  • Translate complex models into user-friendly visualizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a top university with excellent academic records, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related fields; Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with new technologies.
  • Excellent quantitative skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills (functions, charts, data manipulation, VBA).
  • Proficiency in programming and BI tools, especially Python (must), SQL, Tableau, Qlik.
  • Experience with statistical packages like R, STATA, or SPSS.
  • Familiarity with CX tools (e.g., Medallia, Qualtrics) and experience with Conjoint studies are advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to summarize findings and identify patterns in data.
  • Strong presentation design skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
