Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Data Science Technical Project Lead to drive 2–3 complex data science initiatives from inception to delivery. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure actionable insights, and manage stakeholders across the organization.

The role requires strong project and change management skills, plus fluency in AI/ML, GenAI, and cloud platforms. Collaboration with both internal teams and external consultants is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple data science projects end-to-end.
• Expertise in project and change management, plus stakeholder handling.
• Fluency with AI/ML tools and GenAI/Agentic AI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Fully own and lead the delivery of 2–3 data science projects concurrently.
• Define project direction, scope, timelines, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Ensure insights delivered are actionable and impactful.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams across National Grid and externally.
• Staff project pods with internal data scientists and external contractors.
• Contribute hands-on in Python when projects require it.
