Your Impact:

StreetLight Data is seeking a dedicated Product Owner to drive the development of our data and metrics products. You will play a crucial role in defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap, working closely with Product Managers and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Data Science/Data Engineering, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to solving complex real-world problems in the transportation sector. Among other responsibilities, you will lead a technical team to build robust, complex infrastructure to reliably and efficiently deliver high-quality data, especially our mapping solutions.

Location: Remote within the US

Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products, aligning with overall company objectives.
* Translate customer needs into clear and actionable technical requirements for the Data Science team.
* Manage product development, working collaboratively with the Data Science/Data Engineering team to ensure consistent, timely delivery of high-quality data products.
* Plan and manage data science sprints, using Agile methodologies, including maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog.
* Identify metrics dependencies, blockers, and product risks.
* Act as a primary point of contact between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
* Work closely with customer-facing teams, including marketing, sales, and support, to facilitate product communication and ensure customer satisfaction.
* 3+ years of experience in transportation, data science or data engineering
* Bachelor's degree in a technical major
* Exceptional project management skills and ability to align multiple stakeholders
* Proven ability to translate ambiguous customer needs to technical requirements
* Familiarity with basic data science and statistical concepts such as distributions, sample bias, and machine learning
* Excellent attention to detail
* Demonstrated clear and proactive communication, especially ability to explain complex technical concepts to less technical audiences
* Ability to balance multiple projects with competing demands in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
* Expertise in geospatial data, mapping platforms or GIS software is a strong plus
* 3+ years of experience in a product management, technical product management, or technical program/project management role
* Experience working with big data using tools such as Google Cloud
