Job summary

Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) seeks a Mathematics & Statistics Student Trainee (Computers & Data Science) for the DSE ’27 cohort in a summer program at Fort Meade, MD. You will assist in routine computing tasks and help develop artifacts across DoD elements.

You will work under supervision, with assignments that grow in complexity as you gain experience, including NLP explorations and data-processing support for ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student through Oct 2028.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Selected students may be placed at GG-05 or GG-07 based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, standardized assignments in the fields of computer science.
• Assist higher-level personnel who are working on projects to gain competence and experience.
• Assist in developing technical artifacts with various directorates, DCSA PEO, and DoD elements.
• Explore the application of artificial intelligence, including NLP, to enhance ML-enabled data processing capabilities.
• Apply concepts in computer science, data science, data architecture, and data engineering to recurring assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
