Job summary

SentiLink in the United States is seeking a Data Science Manager for Application Fraud to directly lead a team of talented data scientists building models that identify fraudsters and expand our product suite in financial risk.

You will mentor, plan resources with senior leadership, and own end-to-end DS development from data acquisition to production, delivering fast, high-visibility work in a fast-moving environment. Our hybrid setup supports collaboration across the US and India.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience, or 7+ years with a PhD.
• 2–5 years direct team management experience in DS.
• 3+ years startup experience.
• Excellent communicator and team player.
• Proven track record solving complex business problems with DS/ML.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of data scientists, growing from 2-3 to 5-6.
• Provide technical mentorship and strategic direction.
• Lead planning, resourcing and communications with senior leadership, product and engineering teams.
• Develop business intuition and deliver performant DS solutions on aggressive timelines.
• Develop and maintain fraud detection models through full lifecycles.
• Research new types of fraud and develop new products around identity verification.
• Write production-ready code for real-time decisions.
• Design, perform and present analyses to inform data acquisition, product development and risk priorities.
