Base pay range

$206,000.00/yr - $281,000.00/yr

Join us at a pivotal moment as we experience rapid growth and transformation. We seek an experienced Data Science Manager to lead our demand planning and forecasting efforts. This role drives strategic insights and operational rigor within our fast-growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing demand planners and data scientists, particularly those with experience in econometrics. They will be responsible for setting up and optimizing demand planning and forecasting systems, leveraging their experience from large brands to enhance our Demand Planning and Forecasting.

Data Science Manager, Demand Planning and Forecasting Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of demand planners and data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets its objectives and develops professionally.
  • Innovative Modeling: Lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge econometric models and advanced analytics to accurately predict market trends and consumer demand. Drive innovation in forecasting methodologies to enhance precision and reliability.
  • Strategic Insights: Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand forecasts with business strategies.
  • System Optimization: Utilize your expertise in data science to set up and refine demand planning and forecasting systems. Establish best practices and leverage state-of-the-art technologies to optimize processes and outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that demand planning and forecasting efforts are aligned with organizational goals. Communicate complex data science concepts in a clear and impactful manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience managing demand planners and data scientists, with a focus on econometrics and advanced modeling. Prior experience setting up demand planning and forecasting systems at large brands is essential.
  • 4+ years of experience. Expertise in econometric modeling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques. Proficiency with data science tools and platforms and leading individual contributors
  • Experience managing VP+ level stakeholders in high-stakes decisions related to demand forecasts and investments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis
  • Experience with large data sets
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams. Communication and interpersonal experience.
