LMI is seeking a Dataverse/Data Science Lead to join a multidisciplinary team supporting the DHS CBP PMO. This hands-on leader will guide data governance, analytics, and ML initiatives using Dataverse, Python, and SQL while communicating complex findings to diverse stakeholders.

The role emphasizes mentoring, standards, and the delivery of repeatable analytical assets, dashboards, and self-service products for mission-critical decisions. 20% travel may include remote or rugged areas.

Formación

• Master’s degree or higher in statistics, data science, operations research, public health, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another related quantitative discipline.
• At least 9 years of progressive experience in applied data science, analytics, or data engineering in mission-driven environments.
• Strong hands-on experience using Python and SQL to develop, test, validate, and troubleshoot analytical workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the analytical strategy for complex operational, workflow, technology, and programmatic questions, aligned with customer priorities and decision needs.
• Serve as the lead subject‑matter expert for Microsoft Dataverse data structures, data management, analytics use cases, and integration with reporting and AI solutions.
• Assess data readiness for analytical and reporting use cases, including data quality, completeness, lineage, and access considerations.
• Design and maintain reporting‑ready Dataverse data models, tables, relationships, and transformations.
• Develop, review, and apply statistical models, ML methods, and AI evaluations as appropriate.
• Perform hands‑on analysis using Python, SQL, and Dataverse queries; troubleshoot issues.
• Translate analytical findings into concise, actionable products for technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Establish analytical standards and governance for reproducibility, peer review, and documentation.
• Create reusable notebooks, SQL scripts, and data dictionaries to improve consistency.
• Coach analysts and data scientists on data-management practices and quality assurance.
• Coordinate with data engineering and platform teams on data pipelines, security, and handoffs.
• Lead technical reviews of plans, models, and results for stakeholder decision-making.
• Support dashboards, reports, and self‑service analytics for operational use.
• Stay current on data governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
