Protective Life Insurance Company, Birmingham, AL. Data Science Lead Associate. *Fully Remote*

Play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our data science efforts, overseeing project execution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to align data science initiatives with business goals. Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and robust data science solutions. Execute the design and implementation of complex machine learning models. Collaborate with different functional teams to deploy algorithms and develop processes and tools for monitoring model performance and data accuracy. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data science team. Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies, methodologies, data sources, tools, and industry trends.

Qualifications
  1. Requires a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience.
  2. Must have expertise in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
  3. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R.
  4. Strong understanding of the life insurance industry or a similar business domain.
  5. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
