Job summary

Gallup in San Francisco offers a full-time summer 2027 internship in product analytics. You will analyze product and customer data, using Python, SQL, and statistical methods to produce actionable insights for product decisions and marketing efforts.

We seek students enrolled in CS, statistics, data science, or related fields, with experience in Python data libraries, SQL, and basic ML/NLP concepts. On-site Monday-Thursday with Friday remote, 40 hours/week for 12 weeks; potential full-time offer

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor's or graduate degree program in computer science, statistics, data science, engineering, math, or a related field.
• Experience coding in Python with data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Matplotlib).
• Aptitude in programmatic statistical analysis and modeling (univariate or multivariate).
• Experience with nonparametric and nonlinear methods through coursework, research, or work experience.
• Ability to write SQL to query, join, and aggregate data from relational databases or cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Ability to explain analyses and translate results for nontechnical audiences.
• Familiarity with version control (Git or GitHub) and a cloud environment such as AWS.
• Exposure to large language models, generative AI tooling, or applied NLP through coursework or projects.
• Enrollment within 80 miles of San Francisco, CA; anticipated graduation Aug 2027–May 2028.
• Availability to work 40 hours/week for 12 weeks in summer 2027.
• Commitment to on-site work at Gallup's SF office Mon-Thu with remote on Friday.
• Eligible to work in the United States; not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Your Role

• Use Python, SQL, and statistical methods to explore data, build analyses, and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Support product analytics for CliftonStrengths®, contributing to projects across its portfolio of products and touchpoints.
• Partner with data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to conduct analyses and communicate findings.
• Explore opportunities to use data to support marketing efforts, including understanding customers better and identifying opportunities to improve targeting and sales.
• Apply modern data science and AI tools to work efficiently, experiment with new approaches, and strengthen analysis quality.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Enrollment in a bachelor's or graduate degree program in computer science, statistics, data science, engineering, math, or a related field.
• Classroom or work experience coding in a data science environment using Python and its data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Matplotlib).

• Anticipated graduation between August 2027 and May 2028 preferred.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
• Commitment to working on-site at Gallup's San Francisco office Monday through Thursday, with remote work option on Friday.
• Eligibility to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-time summer 2027 internship paying $45 to $50 per hour.
• Potential to work up to 20 hours per week during the school year, depending on business demands.
• Potential for a full-time job offer upon graduation based on business needs and intern performance.
