Job summary

Siemens Corp., IT Americas in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a motivated Data Science Intern to join our team and apply data science, ML, and GenAI to real business challenges across Siemens.

You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise data, analytics, ML, and AI technologies, contributing from data prep to solution development and visualization while learning how data and AI are applied within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Current undergrad pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• Experience programming in Python or R and working with data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights.
• Familiarity with ML concepts, algorithms, and/or large language models and interest in applying them to real-world problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work in a team.
• Eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship within 50 miles of Alpharetta, GA.
• Applicants must be able to work 40 hours per week May–August.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data to support analytics, ML, and AI use cases.
• Develop and apply ML and GenAI frameworks to solve business problems and support data-driven decisions.
• Write SQL and Python code to support data engineering, analytics, and ML projects.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.
• Work with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake to access and prepare data.
• Collaborate with data architects, developers, and SMEs to review solutions and improve deliverables.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Participate in Agile practices like sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Document solutions and processes to support knowledge sharing.
