Job summary

Siemens Corp., IT Americas is seeking a motivated Data Science Intern for our Alpharetta, GA team. You will work with data, analytics, ML, and GenAI to tackle real business challenges in a global organization.

The role involves data prep, analysis, solution development, and visualization, with hands-on experience in enterprise platforms, Agile practices, and collaboration with cross-functional partners. This internship runs May–August 2027.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• Experience programming in Python or R and working with data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and communicate insights.
• Familiarity with ML concepts and large language models; interest in applying to real-world problems.
• Eligible to work in the United States within 50 miles of Alpharetta, GA and able to work 40 hours per week May–August.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data to support analytics, ML, and GenAI use cases.
• Develop and apply ML and GenAI frameworks to solve business problems.
• Write SQL and Python code for data engineering and analytics projects.
• Develop dashboards in Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
• Work with Snowflake to access and prepare data for use cases.
• Collaborate with data architects, developers, and SMEs to review solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
• Document solutions and technical work to support knowledge sharing.
• Research emerging technologies and apply AI, ML, and data capabilities to business challenges.
