Job summary

TxDOT is seeking a Data Science Intern (Intern Graduate Support Technician) in the STR Division, Austin, TX, to support enterprise data science initiatives. The role involves data analysis, developing data ecosystems, and assisting with special projects under a Data Scientist's guidance.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field; experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time work. On-site position with benefits and a comprehensive compensation package for state employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a discipline related to area of assignment.
• Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent.
• Must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in a graduate program.
• Preferred: Data science, Informatics, Library Science, Information Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and maintaining data ecosystems.
• Analyzes data and applies statistical techniques to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Assists with special projects under the guidance of the Data Scientist.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
