Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern to join the Cybersecurity Governance team at the Stassney campus in Austin, Texas. You will assist in developing cybersecurity policy, managing enterprise risk, supporting security audits, and building security metrics.
During summer, in-person work at the Stassney campus is required; during the school year, 20 hours per week is expected. Ideal for students pursuing a cybersecurity career.

Must be enrolled in an engineering or related science degree program in an accredited college or university accepted by TX PELS. Assists in transportation engineering support work such as construction or maintenance inspection, structural construction or maintenance, laboratory work, landscaping, surveying or engineering data collection, operating data collection equipment, and other entry-level engineering support work. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.
Must be enrolled in an engineering or related science degree program in an accredited college or university accepted by TX PELS.

TxDOT is looking for a paid intern to work as a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern for our Cybersecurity Governance team at TxDOT's Stassney campus in Austin, Texas. This intern will be assisting the team developing and maintaining cybersecurity policy, managing enterprise risk, supporting security audits, building and maintaining security metrics and reports, learning how to use a broad suite of security tools, and learning what it takes to keep the TxDOT safe from billions of cyber threats targeting TxDOT every year.
During the summer the intern must be able to work in person at the Stassney Campus Monday through Friday during the day. During the school year the intern would be expected to work 20 hours a week.
The ideal candidate is someone attending college to go into the Cybersecurity career field that is looking to get a jump start on their career now.
