Job summary

TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) is seeking a Finance/Accounting Intern for Technical Services in Austin, TX. The role focuses on business analysis, data reporting, documentation, and system support to help division-wide operations.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience with data visualization using Tableau and SQL, while supporting SOP updates and workflow analyses in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a student in high school or enrolled in college/university.
• Must be at least 16 years of age, currently enrolled in higher education or high school.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Admin is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data analysis and visualization by creating reports, dashboards, SQL queries, and Tableau visualizations.
• Support documentation and process analysis by developing and maintaining business process documents and SOPs.
• Collaborate with the Technical Services team to translate user needs into system functionality and perform other duties as assigned.
