Job summary

Xcel Energy invites students to join a summer data analytics internship in Minnesota. You will deliver analytics projects under senior guidance and help build data products in Databricks using Python, SQL and Git.

Minimum requirements include current enrollment in a relevant program and the ability to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours) or part-time during the school year. May 24, 2027 start date with potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics or related field.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week).
• Hybrid work policy requiring some in-person commuting to the designated work location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver analytics projects with guidance from senior team members.
• Learn the business domain while building technical expertise.
• Effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
• Develop data products in Databricks.
