Xcel Energy is seeking a data analytics intern to support data mapping, report development, and dashboard enhancement at the Marshall Operations Center in Minneapolis. Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or related technical degree.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) or part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commute to the designated work location in-person per our hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Support analytical and continuous improvement initiatives under guidance of Reporting & Compliance Analysts or Planning and Process Consultants.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT support teams, and vendors to support data mapping, report development, automation, and development/improvement of process documents and training.
• Collect, validate, analyze and organize operational data used for reporting and trend analysis that will support root cause analysis, problem-solving, and development of solutions/process improvements.
• Enhance dashboards or develop new dashboards that track key operational metrics for plant teams, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Identify outdated program and training content, develop updated program and training documentation, and partner with LMS to migrate training content.
