Job summary

HDR invites motivated data science students to join our team as Data Science Intern for Summer 2027 in Omaha. You will work on real-world projects under experienced mentors and gain hands-on experience in analytics and AI.

You'll perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development and training, and contribute to AI solutions including chatbots, geospatial tools, and search capabilities using Snowflake and Azure AI services.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Familiarity with software packages related to field.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development and training.
• Contribute to data science projects and AI solutions.
• Develop data and generative AI solutions including chatbots, geospatial and geotechnical search facilities.
• Work with open source and commercial software such as Snowflake and Azure AI services.
