Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Data Science & Business Intelligence Intern for Summer 2027 in Alpharetta, GA. The internship offers paid experience, mentorship from an intern manager, and opportunities to work on real analytics projects.

You will gain hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Power BI, SQL, and data pipelines, while learning the full lifecycle of data science projects in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Proficient understanding of Python-based object-oriented programming.
• Experience with versioning, model deployment and model retraining.
• Hands-on experience with scikit-learn, unittest, pytest, Flask and MLflow.
• Understanding of Git workflows and CI/CD.
• Experience creating and editing presentations in PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Enable and collaborate with the BI team to build new capabilities in Azure Cloud and Power BI front-end environments.
• Develop models to address real-world business problems.
• Understand software development lifecycle and work in a professional setting.
• Assist with creating a library containing engineered features.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to develop business requirements.
• Build networking relationships and receive mentoring from team members.
