Gesture US, Inc. in New York City (In-Office) is seeking a Data Science & Analytics Intern. This hybrid internship combines data science, data engineering, and analytics to turn large data sets into actionable insights that influence product and customer strategies.

The role offers hands-on exposure to data pipelines, exploratory analysis, and model development, with mentorship from experienced data professionals. This is a part-time or full-time in-office position at our NYC headquarters.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; familiarity with R or Scala is a plus.
• Experience with data manipulation using Pandas or similar libraries.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline tools (Airflow, Spark).
• Proficient in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and ready for analysis.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and actionable insights for decisions.
• Develop predictive models to forecast trends and user behavior; apply basic ML techniques.
• Create dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to translate business needs into data requirements.
