Data Science Analyst- R Programming Lead Analyst - Data Science

Infosys is seeking a Lead Data Science Analyst with machine learning and strong R programming experience. The ideal candidate will work on productionizing machine learning models and guide the development team for implementing end-to-end machine learning use cases. The candidate will also have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions for clients by connecting various functions of cloud components. The role involves providing technology consulting to define appropriate Data Science and ML use cases and contributing to the development and deployment of innovative Analytics and AI solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the field may substitute for each year of education.
• Must be located within commuting distance of Jersey City, NJ or willing to relocate; travel in the US may be required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 4 years of experience in ETL development and SQL.
• At least 3 years of experience in R programming.
• Experience in model deployment using tools like Bitbucket.
• At least 2 years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and Data Science.
• Familiarity with Python and Data Science concepts.
• Over 3 years of experience with GEN AI RAG Models.
• Experience in developing algorithms for data cleaning, normalization, and enrichment.
• Understanding key model validation metrics such as mAP, F1-score, and IoU.
• Ability to write clean, reusable, and scalable code.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• At least 4 years of experience with Snowflake and ML Ops.
• Knowledge of latest AI research, image processing, and computer vision.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-stakeholder teams across business and technology domains.
• Interest in working in a global delivery environment.

The role may involve extensive travel and prolonged sitting or working at a computer. Candidates should be capable of effective communication via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
