VIA LINK in Louisiana is seeking a AmeriCorps Resource and Data VISTA to help expand and improve our human services database and dashboards.

You will work with our call center and care navigation team, assess data quality, update style guides, attend community events, and explore storytelling in dashboards to better serve residents. This is a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA role for data-driven public service.

Qualificações

• Some college education or equivalent required.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience in social services or disaster response is a plus.
• Ability to work in team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Work with call center and care navigation to identify service gaps and expand areas.
• Assess and standardize records in the resource database.
• Update VIA LINK’s style guide to identify changes needed.
• Attend community events to recruit partners for the resource database.
• Evaluate how tools performed for the public during disasters.
• Research best practices for disaster response among sister agencies.
• Study the effectiveness of data dashboard tools.
• Identify data to incorporate into dashboards and storytelling elements.
• Create a manual for new datasets and storytelling elements.
