Job summary

University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque seeks a Spanish-speaking Data Research Tech-Student to assist the Internal Medicine CTU on clinical trials. You will learn study protocols, contact participants by phone to administer questionnaires, and enter data into a secure online system.

The role is based at North Campus, Health Sciences, Fitz building B65, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree-seeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters; audit hours do not count.
• If Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Responsibilities

• Learn study protocols and processes listed on the protocol.
• Contact study participants by phone to administer questionnaires.
• Enter data from questionnaires into a secure online database.
• Conduct clinic visits in accordance with protocol and collect biospecimens.
• Perform other duties as required by the study PI and study coordinator.

Position Summary

The Internal Medicine Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is looking for Spanish speaking Research Assistants to assist faculty and staff on clinical research trials. This position will learn study protocols and processes they are listed on. They will contact study participants via phone to administer questionnaires. They will be responsible for entering data from the questionnaires into a secure online data base. They will conduct clinic visits in accordance with protocol, and collect and process biospecimens. and Any other misc. duties as required by the study PI and study coordinator. The position will be housed on North Campus, Health Sciences, Fitz building B65 work schedule will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
• Proficiency with computer applications and database systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Previous laboratory or research experience is preferred but not required
