About A1M

A1M Solutions is a woman-owned small business driven by the aspiration to provide value to our customers, employees, partners, and community while remaining aligned to our guiding principles of foundational values, deliberate focus, and empathetic connection.

A1M’s mission is to preserve and improve government healthcare programs that are lifelines for underserved people in the United States, including people in poverty, elderly people, members of ethnic and racial minorities, immigrants, and refugees. We look for projects with nation-wide impact at the intersection of policy, data, and user experience design.

Besides building useful and usable digital services, A1M helps teams improve their agile, user-centered design practices – or helps them get started. Our goal is not just to build sustainable public services, but also to leave our teaming partners and customers more skilled and more confident in the future.

Scope of Work

A1M Solutions is seeking a skilled Data Reporting & Process Automation Specialist to support a federal healthcare-focused client in reimagining business processes and improving decision-making through automation and data visualization. This role blends process automation with data modeling and dashboard development using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse), SharePoint, and related tools.

The Specialist will work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Researchers, Service Designers, and client stakeholders to recommend design, implement, and maintain scalable, low-code/no-code solutions. This includes automating complex workflows, replacing legacy systems, and building intuitive dashboards that synthesize data from multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct process mapping and requirements gathering to identify automation and data visualization opportunities.
  • Design and build custom Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and data models from diverse sources, enabling actionable insights for both executive and operational audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Manage, manipulate and integrate data.
  • Support data QA, documentation, and dashboard training to ensure long-term usability and sustainability.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts throughout the full solution lifecycle, from intake and development to testing and deployment.
  • Apply Agile and Human-Centered Design principles in all aspects of solution delivery.
Requirements
  • Our contracts require you to work from the United States. That includes all 50 US states, the District of Columbia, and all US territories.
  • Must have been residents in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
  • Due to tax reasons, Independent Contractors cannot reside in the state of New York.
  • You must already have legal authorization to work within the US and not require ongoing visa sponsorship to maintain legal authorization to work.
  • You may be required to provide documentation, such as a business or professional license, and copy of insurance certificates demonstrating your ability to work as an independent contractor.
  • This position will have access to government data and systems, they will need to complete a Public Trust form. Public Trust is a type of background investigation, but it is not a security clearance. Depending on the contract role, you must complete either the Standard Form 85 (SF85) or 85P (SF85P) questionnaire. You will at the very least get asked questions about where you’ve lived, worked, gone to school, military history, police records, and substance use. You’ll also need to have your fingerprints taken.
  • Our partners primarily work on Eastern Standard Time (EST), and will require flexibility in your hours if you reside outside of the EST zone.

This is a full-time, remote position.

The project-based rate compensation will range from $110,000- $120,000 depending on experience.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
