Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney internship program in Middletown, CT offers hands-on experience in the Data Recording Operations team supporting engine instrumentation and test facilities. You will help set up test facilities and instrumentation to support development and production testing while learning data acquisition and analysis.

You will learn to troubleshoot devices, coordinate with engineering teams, and gain exposure to jet engine test operations in a collaborative, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or a STEM Major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Fluent in English (verbal/written)

Responsibilities

• Set up of test facilities to support engine testing.
• Set up of instrumentation measurement systems to support engine testing.
• Consult and coordinate with engineering and customer groups to establish requirements.
• Troubleshooting and calibration of devices in the test facility or lab, and operation of data acquisition systems during validation testing.

What You Will Do:

• The Data Recording Operations team is a part of Pratt & Whitney’s Engineering, Development Operations, Test organization. This team performs a wide variety of technical tasks in support of engine instrumentation and test facility readiness for development and production testing.
• Set up of test facilities to support engine testing.

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
