Job summary

Melissa is seeking a curious, detail-oriented data professional to maintain and improve our proprietary data assets. You will work with large datasets, validate data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure identifiers remain accurate and reliable.

This role offers hands-on data quality work, development of repeatable checks, and opportunities to grow expertise in identity resolution and large-scale data management within a collaborative team environment.

• Ability to investigate complex data issues, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.

• Experience working with data in an analytical, operational, or technical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate data for accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, and reliability.
• Investigate data anomalies, duplicate identifiers, unexpected key changes, and other data-quality issues.
• Write SQL queries to compare datasets, identify patterns, investigate problems, and validate results.
• Develop repeatable data-quality checks and automated validation processes.
• Evaluate changes in data sources, matching rules, and data-processing procedures to identify potential impacts on identifier quality.
• Collaborate with Data Production, Programming, and Quality Assurance teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Test and validate improvements, corrections, and new capabilities involving Melissa's identifiers.
• Monitor quality trends and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain documentation of findings, quality standards, known issues, and validation procedures.
• Help establish and maintain data-integrity metrics and reporting.
