Job summary

BCT Partners seeks a Data Management Specialist to support Head Start grant data, reporting, workflow tracking, and customer service in partnership with the Regional Office of Head Start. This role ensures data accuracy, quality, and accessibility to inform program oversight and decision-making.

Responsibilities include validating data, resolving discrepancies, maintaining metadata, and supporting data governance standards while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Library Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in data management, records management, or information governance are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform data validation, cleansing, standardization, and quality assurance to maintain accurate datasets.
• Review, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies across multiple systems and repositories.
• Maintain and manage metadata, records, and documentation in compliance with policies and data governance standards.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of data management best practices, standards, and workflows.
• Utilize Excel, Smartsheet, and other data management tools to organize, track, analyze, and report on data-related activities.
• Conduct basic SQL queries to validate data, generate reports, and support data analysis activities.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of document management systems and electronic records repositories.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, data dictionaries, logs, and reporting materials.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve data issues, and improve data management processes.
• Support records retention and compliance initiatives by ensuring proper handling, storage, and documentation of organizational records.
• Monitor data quality metrics and recommend corrective actions or process improvements where necessary.
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive information in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits, reviews, and data governance initiatives as required.
