Job summary

National Trench Safety, LLC is seeking an Analytics Engineer in Houston to own the interface between raw data and reporting. You will design data models in Azure SQL, build Power BI semantic models, and support data pipelines while partnering with Finance, Operations, and other teams to ensure accurate, documented data structures.

You will monitor Azure Data Factory pipelines and Power BI refreshes, troubleshoot failures, and implement small pipeline changes as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Solid Power BI experience with semantic models and advanced DAX.
• Ability to translate business needs into data models with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity in joins and boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain SQL views and data models in Azure SQL.
• Create and maintain Power BI semantic models and dashboards.
• Monitor Azure Data Factory pipelines and dataset refreshes; troubleshoot issues.
• Modify pipelines to meet evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate reporting needs into data structures.
• Document data models, definitions, and report logic for lineage.
• Help evolve naming conventions and model design standards.
• Identify process improvements and adopt new data analytics tools.
