This position is 100% remote. Education and Experience

Experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree:

• 5 years of relevant experience with a degree
• 7 years of relevant experience without a degree

Skillset

• Experience with industry regulations and frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA, Data Privacy Laws, ISO27001/2, NIST, HITRUST, etc.
• Experience with GRC tools like ServiceNow, Archer, etc.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments.
• Background in information security and governance with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of security controls, auditing, network, and system security.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in business terms.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects under deadlines.

Job Summary

The Sr. Manager – Cyber Security & Privacy Governance will develop and oversee strategies for technology policies, standards, and certifications at Sentara Healthcare. This role involves designing, implementing, and operationalizing policies to mitigate risks, and managing cybersecurity governance to meet organizational requirements. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this leader will collaborate across business lines and stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead a team of cybersecurity and privacy governance professionals.
• Establish and maintain a governance framework across all business units.
• Set oversight objectives for information and technology governance.
• Develop processes for risk evaluation and support the Cyber Security Management System.
• Benchmark against industry peers and adopt best practices.
• Monitor regulatory changes and report impacts to leadership.
• Assess and communicate cybersecurity and privacy risks and solutions.
• Maintain metrics and reporting systems for governance effectiveness.
• Collaborate on data protection and governance strategies.
• Partner with risk leaders to improve processes and implement solutions.
• Manage the Cyber Security Awareness program.
• Oversee daily operations and strategic development of governance initiatives.
