Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technology program/project management experience delivering data-focused initiatives.
  • Strong experience managing enterprise data, analytics, data platform, cloud, or data modernization programs.
  • Experience with cross-functional technology teams including Data Engineering, Data Science, Cloud, Architecture, Security, and Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, data engineering, cloud computing, APIs, data pipelines, analytics, and AI/ML ecosystems.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, security, privacy, and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and managing multiple technology workstreams.
  • Strong governance, risk management, dependency management, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data and technology programs from strategy through production rollout.
  • Define program objectives, scope, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Data Science, Cloud, Architecture, Product, Security, and Business teams to drive execution.
  • Lead data modernization initiatives involving legacy-to-cloud transformation and data pipelines.
  • Establish and manage program governance, including steering committees, RAID logs, and executive reporting.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure alignment with data architecture, security, and deployment strategies.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and geographically distributed teams while maintaining delivery timelines.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and drive mitigation plans.
  • Prioritize initiatives and establish realistic roadmaps and delivery commitments.
  • Drive adoption of modern data and AI capabilities to improve outcomes and efficiency.
  • Ensure data programs follow security, privacy, governance, and quality standards.
  • Track KPIs, budgets, schedules, and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of delivery processes and operating models.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Technology Program Manager to lead complex data and technology transformation initiatives in a highly collaborative enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data platforms, data engineering, cloud technologies, data modernization, AI/GenAI, data governance, and enterprise technology delivery.

This role will be responsible for driving strategic data programs from planning through execution, coordinating cross-functional technology teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of scalable and secure data solutions.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across business, data engineering, architecture, analytics, cloud, security, and technology teams, translating business objectives into actionable technology roadmaps and delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data and technology programs, from strategy and planning through implementation and production rollout.
  • Define program objectives, scope, milestones, dependencies, delivery plans, and success criteria.
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Data Science, Cloud, Architecture, Product, Security, and Business teams to drive program execution.
  • Lead data modernization initiatives involving legacy-to-cloud transformation, data platforms, data pipelines, analytics, and AI/GenAI capabilities.
  • Establish and manage program governance, including steering committees, executive reporting, RAID logs, status reporting, and escalation management.
  • Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to ensure alignment with data architecture, technology standards, security, governance, and deployment strategies.

  • Identify program risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and technical challenges and drive mitigation plans.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and establish realistic roadmaps and delivery commitments.
  • Drive adoption of modern data and AI capabilities to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure data programs follow appropriate security, privacy, compliance, governance, and quality standards.
  • Track program KPIs, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and senior business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Support continuous improvement of program delivery processes, Agile practices, and technology operating models.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience with AI/Generative AI transformation programs.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data architecture.
  • Knowledge of tools/platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.
  • Experience leading legacy data modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Experience establishing enterprise-level data governance and operating models.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or similar program/project management certification.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
