Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an Agile Data Product Owner for a contractual role in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will own and prioritize the product backlog, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with governance and stakeholders across the program.

The ideal candidate has about 5 years of Agile Coaching/PO experience, strong data management skills, and proficiency with Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Agile Coaching, Scrum, or Product Owner experience.
• Experience with data management, governance, quality, metadata, lineage, and enterprise data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, technology, risk, compliance and governance partners.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for backlog management and delivery readiness.
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable data product capabilities.
• Experience in highly regulated environments requiring adherence to risk, compliance, audit and policy requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, CS, Data Management, Analytics, Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent work exp considered.
• Agile certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, or PMI-ACP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Transformation Coaching.
• Analyze and resolve multi-faceted challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to meet deliverables and compliance requirements.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, define/refine user stories and features, and establish acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate alignment between Product Management, business stakeholders, technology teams, and governance partners.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Define and communicate data product success metrics, adoption metrics, and business value measurements.
• Ensure delivery aligns with policy, control, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Support prioritization of technical debt, data quality remediation, and platform modernization initiatives.
