Job summary

State of Minnesota - MNSite - DCYF is seeking a Data Product Manager (Data Architecture/Engineering) to lead modernization efforts, define strategy, and deliver scalable data products. The role collaborates with MNIT and DCYF teams to transform agency data into trusted assets and actionable insights.

Responsibilities include roadmap ownership, data governance, and partnering with engineers and data scientists to build pipelines and platforms, while ensuring compliant, informed decision making.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in data management, analytics, data engineering, or related fields.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.
• Experience with analytics tools (dbt, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics).
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and roadmap for data products (data platforms, analytics tools, ML infrastructure).
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of data products from ideation to retirement.
• Partner with data engineers and data scientists to build scalable pipelines and data services.
• Serve as primary liaison between MNIT and DCYF business partners.
• Define success metrics and measure product performance and adoption.
• Ensure governance, privacy, and ethical data use across projects.
