Job summary

MNIT, in partnership with DCYF, seeks a Data Product Manager to steer data products from ideation to deployment. You will coordinate across data engineering, data science, and business policy to create scalable data assets, governance, and analytics capabilities that support informed decision making.

You will define roadmaps, establish metrics, and collaborate with analytics teams to deliver actionable insights while upholding data privacy and governance standards.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in data management, analytics, engineering, or related fields.
• Ability to lead across data engineering, data science, and business policy teams.
• Strong understanding of data systems, pipelines, warehousing, governance, and metadata.
• Experience collaborating with data architecture, data engineering, and data science teams.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with analytics tools and data governance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, roadmap, and execution for data products like data platforms and analytics tools.
• Lead end-to-end data product lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, launch, iteration.
• Partner with data engineers/scientists to build scalable pipelines, models, and data services with governance.
• Translate business needs into data transformations, metadata, and domain rules.
• Serve as liaison between technical teams and DCYF leadership, communicating value and plans.
• Define success metrics, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
