Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data product leader to shape and drive data products, analytics, and reporting across the business. You will partner with stakeholders to translate needs into data requirements, guide data collection and analysis, and deliver evidence-based insights with scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes building data literacy, mentoring teams, and embedding AI opportunities into data workflows.

Qualifications

• Ability to define and drive a data product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to business priorities.
• Ability to lead end-to-end data product lifecycle practices, including intake, discovery, prioritization, delivery, adoption, measurement, and retirement.
• Ability to assess data domain maturity, define target maturity, and execute gap-closing plans.
• Ability to understand business decision needs and translate them into data and insight requirements.
• AI-ready mindset with ability to identify opportunities for AI and automation in data products, workflows, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business, data domain owners/stewards, and technology teams to define and deliver data products, analytics, and reporting.
• Improve business decision-making, data domain maturity, and measurable business outcomes.
• Drive data product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to business priorities and delivery feasibility.
• Lead the end-to-end data product lifecycle from intake through retirement.
• Assess current-state data domain maturity, define target maturity, and execute improvement plans.
• Translate business decision needs into clear data and insight requirements.
• Guide teams in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to produce evidence-based recommendations and actionable insights.
• Coach others in communicating complex findings through narratives and data visualizations.
• Lead data and business process analysis across multiple stakeholders and capabilities.
• Oversee design, build, and maintenance of scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Apply emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to improve standards and delivery.
• Champion data strategy and literacy through roadmaps, adoption, training, and success metrics.
• Lead and develop talent through goal-setting, mentoring, coaching, performance management, and hiring support.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI and automation into data products, workflows, and decision-making.
