Data Product Engineer — Lakehouse Analytics & AI/ML Roadmap

Job summary

Dynata is seeking a Data Product Engineer to own the lifecycle of data products on the lakehouse platform. You will bridge business needs with technical delivery, shaping the roadmap, specifications, and governance to enable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.

You will work with data engineers and stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality data products, measure impact via KPIs, and drive adoption of a data-as-a-product culture across domains.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a product management, data management, or analytics role.
• 3+ years managing data products in a modern data lakehouse or data warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and SQL proficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the data product roadmap aligned to business priorities and OKRs.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify, capture, and prioritize data product requirements.
• Develop data product specifications, including schemas, SLAs, access controls, and documentation.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure timely and quality delivery of data products.
• Establish and track KPIs for data product usage, quality, and business value delivered.
• Manage the data product catalog and metadata to enable discoverability and self-service.
• Lead data product sprint planning, backlog grooming, capacity management, and release management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for data consumers across business domains.
• Drive adoption of the data product framework and advocate for data-as-a-product culture.
• Coordinate with governance, infosec, and compliance teams to ensure product-level policies are enforced.
