Job summary

Dynata is seeking a Data Product Engineering Manager to own the lifecycle of data products on a lakehouse platform. You will bridge business needs and technical teams, defining, prioritizing, and delivering trusted data products for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.

You will lead data product roadmaps, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery with strong governance. This senior role emphasizes data modeling, metadata, and a data-as-a-product mindset.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a product management, data management, or analytics role.
• 3+ years managing data products in a modern data lakehouse or data warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and SQL proficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the data product roadmap aligned to business priorities and OKRs.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify, capture, and prioritize data product requirements.
• Develop data product specifications, including schemas, SLAs, access controls, and documentation.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure timely and quality delivery of data products.
• Establish and track KPIs for data product usage, quality, and business value delivered.
• Manage the data product catalog and metadata to enable discoverability and self-service.
• Lead data product sprint planning, backlog grooming, capacity management, and release management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for data consumers across business domains.
• Drive adoption of the data product framework and advocate for data-as-a-product culture.
• Coordinate with governance, infosec, and compliance teams to ensure product-level policies are enforced.
