Job summary

Adobe is seeking a Data Product Engineer on the Business Process Optimization team in California. The role embeds with Finance and CAO partners to translate business needs into production-grade data products, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

You’ll own end-to-end development, building reliable data products and automated pipelines, while applying modern engineering practices and governance across data flows. Strong SQL, Python, and Spark experience are required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, software development, or closely related technical domain.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience with Spark and Azure Databricks, including medallion architecture for lakehouse pipelines.
• Exposure to RPA tooling such as Power Automate is a plus.
• Proficient with Git-based development and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with LLMs or intelligent development platforms and validating outputs.
• Understanding of data lineage, governance, and SOX segregation of duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build reliable data products, automated pipelines, and reusable interfaces for internal business teams.
• Take an end-to-end, full-stack approach, extending beyond data pipelines into APIs and lightweight applications.
• Build automation and AI-enabled solutions, including RPA workflows and AI tools.
• Maintain ownership and segregation-of-duties controls over automation platforms (e.g., SnapLogic, Power Automate, PowerBuilder).
• Translate business requirements into technical implementation with a focus on the underlying business problem.
• Apply modern engineering practices including Git, testing, CI/CD, code reviews, documentation, and monitoring.
• Integrate and validate data from internal and external systems with emphasis on quality, security, lineage, and governance.
• Deliver solutions with measurable business impact, tracked via metrics.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to speed up engineering tasks and validate output.
