Data Processing Technician

The Opportunity

As a Data Processing Technician, you will perform basic data processing tasks under supervision and with guidance. You’ll perform duties such as supporting basic data processing activities, performing routine data entry and verification tasks, assisting in organizing and cleaning datasets to meet mission requirements, and collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and timely data processing as the mission evolves.

As a client-facing data analyst on our National Security team, you will collaborate closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs while wrangling data from their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of the data, but you will also advise on industry standards and how to exploit the resources to positively impact our national security space mission.

You'll use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships. You'll research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets.

You'll contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations and you will apply collaboration skills and data analytics to simplify technical requirements and trends. You'll establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes and you'll apply data visualization through various presentation formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides. You will grow your communication and technical skills by merging advising and big data to create data-centric solutions across the space mission.

You Have

• Experience with performing basic data processing tasks
• Knowledge of intelligence production
• Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely data reporting
• Ability to work a 24/7 shift rotation
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience with working at a ground station or with signals intelligence, or 4+ years of experience with working at a ground station or with signals intelligence in lieu of a degree

• Experience with analyzing and interpreting various data sets

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
