Job summary

First Solar is offering an internship opportunity in Perrysburg, Ohio. The role focuses on improving Throughput and Yield through data analytics and engineering techniques, with exposure to JMP and Excel for statistical analysis.

You will support multiple site projects, prepare SOPs, and present findings to leadership at the end of the internship. The program offers flexible scheduling, 3–6 months minimum, and first/second shift options depending on workload.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel; JMP or similar statistics software is a plus.
• SQL or Python coding knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated root-cause analysis and solution implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across functions and teams.

Responsibilities

• Support throughput and yield improvement projects on site.
• Perform basic analyses on throughput constraints and scrap data.
• Report daily status and assist investigations with data.
• Learn new software and JMP for data analysis and reporting.
• Prepare presentations and SOPs; assist with floor deployment.
• Collaborate with multiple groups to collect, analyze, and report observations and root causes.
• Present accomplishments and project summary to leadership at internship end.
