Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Workforce Development Intern at our Perrysburg, OH facility. You will work closely with team members to learn production processes and contribute to creating and implementing training for our manufacturing workforce.

This in-person internship offers hands-on experience, with guidance from a Workforce Development Specialist and manager. No prior experience required, pursuing a STEM degree, and a proactive communicator will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Experience developing instructional materials preferred.
• Pursuing a technical or educational degree in a STEM field.
• Interns are encouraged to register their internship with their college or university.
• Must have good communication and be comfortable teaching others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic photo and video editing.

Responsibilities

• Gather information on products and processes to create training material.
• Develop PowerPoint and video-based training materials.
• Print and place material at training workstations and log updates.
• Train others as needed and assist with onboarding new associates.
• Support plant tours and other onboarding activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
