Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Internship candidate to support daily production performance in a high-volume solar panel manufacturing environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze data, solve problems, and contribute to safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Typically a Monday–Friday, 8a–5p on-site internship. Requires HS diploma or GED and pursuit of a technical bachelor's degree. Travel between Perrysburg plants is limited as described.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and pursuing a technical bachelor's degree.
• Must have solid written and verbal English communication.
• Comfortable working in a team environment and with cross-functional colleagues.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve manufacturing problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing technicians, engineers and leadership with daily production issues.
• Identify and implement product performance improvements.
• Monitor and analyze production data; perform statistical analysis on results.
• Execute planned process experiments and report outcomes.
• Create or update process documentation and work instructions.
• Support safety and housekeeping standards on the floor.
