Job summary

Cozen O’Connor’s Commercial Litigation Department seeks an associate to join the Emerging Data Privacy Trends practice in the Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of law firm litigation experience defending employers and technology companies in major data privacy class actions and appellate matters in federal and state courts, including arbitration.

Familiarity with BIPA, CIPA, and other privacy statutes is expected.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of law firm litigation experience defending employers and technology enterprises in privacy matters.

Responsibilities

• Handle privacy disputes including class actions and appellate matters in federal and state courts and arbitration.
• Work on data breach litigation and related privacy issues (session replay, wiretapping, pixel tracking, right of publicity).
• Demonstrate strong research and analytical abilities with attention to detail in fast-paced environment.
