Job summary

Cognicion LLC is seeking a Consultant-level professional to directly support external Data Privacy clients. This role works closely with Senior Consultants, cross-functional partners, and client representatives to operationalize organizational privacy processes.

Responsibilities include serving as first contact for privacy issues, driving process improvements, developing workflows, coordinating with IT, InfoSec, HR, Sales, and Marketing, and staying current with GDPR, CCPA, LGPD and FCRA.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Data Privacy preferred. Will also consider experience in areas such as information governance, data mapping, cybersecurity, and any other related field.
• CIPP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the initial point of contact for operations-related, client-driven data privacy issues and questions. Independently resolves issues and escalates higher risk issues to the appropriate party.
• Assists in operationalizing client’s data privacy needs by following, anticipating, and executing directives on a wide range of sophisticated privacy issues.
• Assists in compliance module support by setting permissions, granting access, leading walkthroughs, and responding to and researching/testing escalated functionality questions.
• Raises privacy awareness through the development and distribution of company-wide communications, demonstrating an understanding of relevant issues and client processes.
