Goldman Sachs seeks an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead data platform initiatives in Dallas. You will own roadmaps, manage commitments, drive risk and financial governance, and deliver cross‑functional programs with engineers, architects, and leaders.

The role emphasizes data platform strategy, cloud, and AI enablement across a 35k+ user base. You will partner with Data Platform leadership to translate strategy into actionable plans, balancing delivery speed with risk and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of technical program or project management delivering complex engineering programs.
• Strong SQL, data modelling concepts, APIs, and cloud fundamentals.
• Proven ability to partner with engineering teams to deliver technical outcomes.
• Experience managing dependencies, risks, and issues across multiple teams.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and planning/ reporting mechanisms.
• Excellent communication with engineers and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to drive commercial impact and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for data platform initiatives and align milestones with engineering leads.
• Run the commitment book and ensure timely closure of major commitments.
• Own the risk book of work, tracking remediation across the estate.
• Lead cross‑cutting programs end to end, including migrations and API rollouts.
• Steward the financials; support budgeting, headcount, and cloud spend.
• Support the people agenda with organizational planning and onboarding.
• Go deep technically; become proficient with the Legend platform and data models.
• Use data to run the business and measure platform health and adoption.
• Partner with AI initiatives and ensure governance alignment.
• Establish robust relationships with divisional partners and users.
