Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the US Planning & Audience Insights data engineering function for Prime Video. You will own data infrastructure, pipelines, and platform capabilities powering analytics and AI tools for content programming, marketing optimization, and audience strategy.

You will manage senior data engineers, shape the data platform roadmap across Redshift clusters, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data models, ensuring performance and cost efficiency

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience managing a data or BI team.
• 5+ years on massively parallel tech (Redshift, Teradata, Netezza, Spark or Hadoop).
• 3+ years developing/operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics (ETL/ELT).
• Experience leading and influencing data/BI strategy.
• Experience communicating to senior management and customers.
• Experience in Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of senior data engineers with hiring and mentoring.
• Own data platform strategy and roadmap, Redshift clusters, ETL/ELT pipelines, data models.
• Manage and optimize Redshift infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
• Own data pipelines for AI-powered tools including GenAI and ML apps.
• Drive data engineering for dashboards and internal software products.
• Establish data governance, quality, and reliability standards with monitoring and SLAs.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, BI engineers, and software engineers to translate requirements into scalable architectures.
• Represent data engineering in planning, reviews, and leadership forums.
