Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive data products supporting Guest experiences in the United States. You will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into well-scoped work, lead a team of engineers, and advance data architecture and privacy-focused pipelines.

You will shape strategy for data products, ensure scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and Airflow, and mentor engineers in a collaborative, matrixed environment while aligning with company goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years related work experience with 3+ years leading engineers.
• Strong knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, Advanced Analytics and Data Science implementations.
• Experience with Snowflake and BigQuery data platforms.
• Familiarity with Data Lakehouse concepts and Parquet/Iceberg formats.
• Experience designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt, Airflow).
• Understanding of data quality practices and privacy regulations.
• Excellent communication and collaborative leadership in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into engineered work.
• Execute strategy and roadmap for data products supporting Guest experiences.
• Lead a team of engineers day-to-day, balancing delivery with growth of team members.
• Foster best practices and standards in data and engineering.
• Serve as a technical resource on delivery practices for engineers and partners.
• Support data collection and onboarding while ensuring privacy requirements.
• Stay current on product direction and privacy landscape affecting Guest data strategy.
• Build and improve pipelines ensuring freshness, completeness, security, and privacy.
• Report to a Senior Manager or Director and collaborate with internal partners.
