Job summary

Milan Laser Hair Removal is seeking a Data Platform Manager to lead the Snowflake data platform, guide architecture, and drive data engineering across ingestion, lakehouse, and identity resolution. You will remain hands-on on complex pipelines while mentoring the team and shaping technical standards.

Based in Omaha, NE, this on-site role emphasizes collaboration with BI and business leaders to deliver reliable data foundations for analytics, AI initiatives, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience building ETL/ELT systems and data pipelines in a data warehouse or lakehouse environment.
• Five years of SQL experience.
• Three years of Python or other scripting language experience.
• Two years of experience directly managing or mentoring data engineers.
• Snowflake or Databricks experience.
• Experience evaluating build-vs-buy decisions for data tooling and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define the architecture and drive the roadmap for Milan’s Snowflake data platform, including ingestion and data lakehouse components.
• Lead, coach, and manage data engineers; foster craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
• Deliver platform initiatives for BI, data science, and AI workloads with clear milestones and risk management.
• Contribute hands-on to designs and data pipelines; perform code reviews and enforce standards.
• Partner with BI and business leaders to align platform capabilities with reporting needs.
