Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead hands-on data engineering for Universal+, Hayu, and NBCInternational Networks & Direct-to-Consumer in Florida and LATAM. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, integrate systems, and collaborate with product, analytics, and technology stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and supporting data engineering solutions in a commercial environment.
• Strong SQL and Snowflake experience, including data modelling and performance tuning.
• Python or equivalent programming language for reusable components.
• Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, including data lake storage and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Data Engineering: design, build, test, deploy, and support data pipelines and datasets across Snowflake and cloud platforms.
• Local Data Delivery: translate stakeholder requirements into practical data solutions.
• Snowflake & Data Platform Support: develop Snowflake objects, SQL transformations, data models, and secure access patterns.
• Integrations & automation: build integrations between data platform and internal/third-party systems.
• Project Coordination: manage plans, dependencies and stakeholder updates for local/regional data initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management: be the local contact for product, analytics, finance, marketing, and technology stakeholders.
• Data Quality, Governance & Support: monitor data quality, security, lineage, and operational processes.
• Team Collaboration: work with engineers, analysts, vendors, and partners to deliver maintainable solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to simplify processes and unlock new datasets.
