Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Data Engineering Manager in Florida to lead hands-on data engineering for Universal+ and related services. You will build and maintain data pipelines, models, and reporting datasets across Snowflake and cloud platforms, coordinating local data initiatives and stakeholder needs.

The role requires strong SQL, Snowflake, Python, and AWS experience, plus the ability to coordinate across product, analytics, finance, and tech teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and supporting data engineering solutions in a commercial environment, ideally across streaming, media, broadcast, or subscription businesses.
• Hands-on data engineering across ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL, APIs, orchestrations, and production support.
• Strong SQL and Snowflake experience, including data modelling, performance tuning, access controls, troubleshooting.
• Project coordination experience, including planning, dependency management and stakeholder status reporting.
• Python or equivalent programming experience, with the ability to build maintainable components.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including data lake storage, serverless compute, orchestration, IAM, monitoring.
• Good understanding of data governance, privacy, security, access control, data quality, lineage, and operational support practices.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on data engineering: design, build, test, deploy and support data pipelines, models, integrations and reporting datasets.
• Local data delivery: translate stakeholder requirements into practical, maintainable data solutions.
• Snowflake & data platform: develop Snowflake objects, SQL transformations, data models, secure access patterns, performance tuning.
• Integrations & automation: build integrations between the data platform and internal or third-party systems.
• Project coordination: coordinate project plans, priorities, dependencies and stakeholder updates.
• Stakeholder management: act as local contact for product, analytics, finance, marketing, operations, tech.
• Data quality, governance & support: monitor and improve data quality, lineage, access controls, privacy, security.
• Team collaboration: work with data engineers, analysts, product owners, vendors and partners.
• Continuous improvement: identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and unlock new datasets.
