Job summary

Lilt is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineering leader to own the data transformation layer and warehouse. You will lead a new Data sub-team, write SQL, dbt, and Python, and ensure consistent metrics across Finance, Operations, Production, and Product.

You will hire a Data Engineer and a Senior Data Scientist, define the charter, and drive delivery, quality, and on-call health while maintaining cost discipline.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data/analytics engineering or similar domain.
• Experience building and running production data pipelines.
• Ownership of data definitions and metrics with cross-team alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own the transformation layer and warehouse, with cost accountability.
• Lead a hands-on data engineering team (IC + people-manager) and hire两 for two roles.
• Implement metrics once in dbt and ensure consistency across teams.
• Set direction for warehouse strategy and API exposure via MCP.
