Job summary

OneChronos Markets LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager to build and lead our Data Engineering team. You will grow and support a team of engineers while shaping architecture for pipelines, orchestration, and platform infrastructure that power our analytics.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software or data engineering and 2+ years of direct people management, with a background building safe, reliable data platforms in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 8+ years of software or data engineering experience, including 2+ years managing engineers.
• Strong background building safe and reliable data platforms, services and pipelines (Python/SQL/Rust/TypeScript).
• Experience with workflow orchestration systems (Temporal, Airflow, Dagster, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines, orchestration, and internal tooling for analytics.
• Own data workflows end-to-end, including 3am edge cases.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a data engineering team; handle hiring and performance feedback.
• Own the data platform roadmap, balancing new capabilities with reliability and technical debt.
• Collaborate with research and business stakeholders to translate data needs into projects.
• Improve reliability, observability, and incident response for the data platform.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, and data integrity.
